About Britiney

I'm Britiney, the owner and calligrapher at Sawtooth Calligraphy. My husband and I have been married more than 25 years and we have three boys who are all almost out on their own. I started my lettering journey with a college lettering class decades ago where I learned several broad-edge scripts. With the recent resurgence in the popularity of calligraphy, I picked my pens back up and expanded my repertoire to include numerous pointed pen scripts.

 

I'm proficient in scripts including Copperplate, Engrosser's, Chancery Italic, and several modern scripts. I love using my skills to add a beautiful touch to your wedding or special event. In an effort to continuously improve my work, I've received instruction from some of the best calligraphers in the world including Paul Antonio, Pat Blair, Harvest Crittenden, Carrie Imai, Suzanne Cunningham, David Grimes, Younghae Chung, and more.

While I can confidently execute any project you have in mind, I specialize in envelope calligraphy and event signage. I love practicing new scripts in order to match my hand-written script to fonts in order to bring a beautiful cohesiveness to your wedding or event. I'm also thrilled to offer calligraphy engraving, which is a terrific addition to any brand activation or corporate event. I pride myself on exceeding customer expectations and enjoy working with brides, wedding and event planners, corporations, nonprofits and other organizations.
